A genuine Elizabeth I hammered half penny, minted between 1558–1603 during the Sixth Issue (c. 1594–1596). This small silver coin features a portcullis design on the obverse with the Woolpack mint mark clearly visible above. The reverse shows a classic long cross with pellets in the angles.
This type is catalogued as Spink 2581 and represents a distinctive Tudor issue, struck under the reign of one of England’s most iconic monarchs.
